1. Who we are
The site and software are provided by [legal name], [address], Quebec (“we”). Questions: [support email].
2. Subscription
- Each product is sold as a monthly subscription, on its own or as a bundle. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars, taxes extra.
- Payment is made by credit card through our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your card number.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date until you cancel it.
- There is no free trial and no minimum term.
3. Cancelling and changing plans
- You can cancel, change plans or update your card at any time from your account.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. You keep access until then. Partial months are not refunded, [except where required by law].
- If you move from a bundle to a single product, access to the other product ends at the end of the period already paid for.
4. Declined payments
- If a payment is declined, we retry it for 7 days. Your access continues during that time and we notify you by email.
- After that, access to the software is suspended. Your account, invoices and data are not deleted: settle the payment and access is restored right away.
5. Licence
- Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the covered software for the duration of the subscription.
- A subscription allows use on one signed-in device at a time. Signing in on another device ends the session on the first one.
- The software checks your subscription at startup and regularly afterwards. It can work up to 72 hours without an Internet connection.
- You may not copy, resell, decompile or circumvent the software’s licensing mechanisms.
6. Your data
The documents and information you process in the software belong to you and are saved on your computer. For now, we keep no copy of them: remember to make backups. [To be updated when sync between computers becomes available.] How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy.
7. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the software and site running without interruption, but cannot guarantee it. [Limitation of liability clause to be drafted by a lawyer, in compliance with Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act.]
8. Changes
We may change these terms or our prices. Any significant change will be announced by email at least 30 days in advance, and you may cancel at no charge.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada.
